Classified (Non-Teach) SubstitutesSubstitutes are a integral part of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. Call 812-###-#### to learn more.Classified Substitutes: $10.00 per hourSecretary Substitutes: $17.16 per hour Interpreter (ASL) for Hearing Impaired: $15.50 per hour
  • Hours will vary Monday through Friday based on the position and location.
Steps to become a substitute:
  • Complete an online application. Submit at least three valid email addresses within your EVSC application in order for the reference forms to be emailed to each individual. Reference responses must be on file before you may begin substitute assingnments.
  • National Background CheckYou will be contacted by email with instructions on requesting the required online background check. There is currently a fee for this process, payable online with a personal credit or debit card.
  • OrientationOnce you have completed all steps above, you will be emailed next steps in the onboarding process.
