location Olathe, Kansas, United States category Operations Entry-Level Job ID: 220007P Posted: Jan 25th 2022 JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a full-time Clean Room Custodian (2nd Shift) for our headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and documenting the cleanliness of a VDA19 Manufacturing Facility. Other essential functions include:

* Maintain the cleanliness of a VDA 19 Compliant Manufacturing Facility according to daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and semi-annual cleaning schedules

* Perform cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings and windows

* Hand-wipe frequently-touched surfaces, equipment and tooling use to manufacture product

* Complete cleaning logs to provide documentation that tasks were finished

* Monitoring of consumable supplies and restocking as necessary

* Must possess the ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques, standing for an entire shift and walking long distances throughout the facility

* Ability to work variable and flexible hours including overtime

* Compliance with HRD-003 (Garmins Attendance Policy)

Due to the level of training necessary to be successful in this position, VDA 19 Cleanliness Technicians are not eligible for job transfer for a minimum of one year after certification in this position. Qualified candidates possess a High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Other requirements include:

* Prior custodial experience

* Aptitude with basic computer skills

* Operate automated floor cleaning machines

* Read, understand and follow detailed instructions

* Demonstrate strong and effective verbal and written communication skills

* Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

* Requires the ability to bend, twist and lift up to 55 pounds while using safe lifting techniques and standing for an entire shift

Prior clean room experience and custodial experience in an industrial or commercial environment are highly preferred.
