The Cleaning Attendant is a critical position that demonstrates a passion for maintaining the gym facilities, amenities, and equipment in a “like-new” condition always. The care into delivering “clean and crisp” throughout the gym is essential in ensuring a welcoming, safe, and healthy operation. That care creates a warm, kind, and hospitable environment for team members and members alike. Reports to:
- Operations Manager and/or General Manager
Requirements:
- Fluent in English
- Proficient reading and writing skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong safety skills
Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization on the interior of the club
- Maintain cleanliness on the immediate exterior of the club
- Assist with service to the members and guests, when required
- Daily completion of any itemized checklist of cleaning responsibilities as set forth by the general manager
- Maintain friendly and helpful attitude to all club staff, members and guests
- Know, understand and follow all policies, procedures, and standards
- Remain aware of club facility concerns including downed/broken equipment and building issues
- Assist in all projects delegated by club management
- Follow all policies and procedures in Team Member Handbook
- Any additional tasks/projects as requested by Management
Requirements:
- Certifications, as local/state laws require
- Lift up to 50 lbs on occasion
- Stand, bend, and squat with frequency
- Push and pull cleaning/maintenance equipment as needed
Meetings:
- Monthly or Weekly Department Meetings
- Employee Training Meetings
Compensation:
- Part-time and full-time positions are available
- Full time employees are eligible for a free gym membership
