Committed to our Team, Craft & Community, Since 1910 General Description: The Cleaning Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment for members of our staff at the Menomonie location (up to 3 days per week). This position will focus cleaning efforts on the common areas (stairs, break rooms, bathrooms) and office areas. This position must practice safety in all aspects of the job.Duties and Responsibilities include the following.• Sweep and mop floors.• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.• Clean windows and mirrors.• Clean and supply restrooms.• Remove waste and empty trash.• Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.• Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies.• Organize janitorial storage areas.• Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance.• All other cleaning tasks as directed by management.RequirementsRequired (Basic) Education / Experience/ Competencies and Other Skills:• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.• Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies.• Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally.• Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations.• Attention to detail.• Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.• Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.• Ability to work independently.• Ability to demonstrate professionalism.• Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team.Physical DemandsAbility to lift 50+ lbs. repetitively.Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.Pass a drug & alcohol screen as well as a general background check.ScheduleMonday - Friday, flexible schedule, no weekends or Holidays.Hourly.Work Environment:Food plant environment.
