Job Details:The Clerical Support III provides clerical support to department staff and physicians. Under the supervision of manager, performs including registration, chart prep/assembly, scheduling, pay roll, forms, JCAHO checks and other clerical duties. Provides clerical assistance to department related to correspondences to other agencies or outside customers. Maintains effective communication between department staff, other departments and outside agencies.
Department Specific Job Details:Responsible for the communication flow within the Emergency Department relating to inbound calls, taking of accurate and complete messages and the routing of messages to ED Physicians, ED Nursing staff, and Parents/Legal Guardians/Guarantors. Assists clinical team leader with coordination of care of managing telephone calls, pages, and communication through vocerea and nurse call. Demonstrates professional behavior and impeccable telephone etiquette, as this is often the first contact with the community calling into the organization. Responsible for downtime procedures including implementation of a paper medical record, accurate and timely order entry, and chart processing.Dayton Children's is home to the region's only Level 1 pediatric trauma center. The emergency department staff at Dayton Children's specializes in one thing: caring for critically ill and injured children-with two convenient locations, you can rest assured that no matter what the emergency, our team is ready to provide the highest quality care. Dayton Children's main campus emergency department includes 47 treatment rooms, with an average census of 200 patients per day.
