Provides routine to moderately complex administrative support to an individual, office, department or program.

Responsibilities

Duties may vary based on title. Examples of duties include typing, scanning, filing, editing, composing, greeting visitors, creating reports, making travel arrangements, maintaining filing system, answering telephones, and operating office equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Classification 43-0000 Office and Administrative Support Occupations Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED. Experience varies based on title. Microsoft Office knowledge. Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication ( including written) skills.

Preferred Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Ability to operate standard office equipment. Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of and skill in the application of office practices, procedures, and equipment. Knowledge of business English, Spelling, Grammar, and Arithmetic. Must be able to interact with students, public officials and staff at all levels in a courteous and efficient manner. Must be able to project a professional and positive image of the university.
