Clerk II - MidMichigan Health : Job Details

Serves as the first contact for our customers and staff providing all clerical functions necessary to prepare and maintain a complete, accurate medical record. This includes; identifying and labeling any documents that must be scanned into the medical record and reviewing charts, assigning any deficiencies to assure that all providers complete all necessary components of that chart per Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, The Joint Commission and corporate rules and regulations. Good communication skills are a must as analysts will work closely with our patients, insurance companies, employers, other staff members, etc. in coordinating the release of health information in an accurate and timely manner in accordance to both state and federal laws. Responsibilities (25%) - Performs all clerical functions necessary to organize, maintain, and use patient medical records. Will train in one or more specialty clerical functions.
