POSITION TITLE: Clerk III - Mobile Food Market (Part-time)
PRIMARY LOCATION: Fall River, with occasional travel to all Bristol campus locations.
REPORTS TO: Director, Wraparound Services
POSITION STATUS: This is an unbenefited, part-time, state funded, AFSCME classified position.

WORK SCHEDULE: Up to ten (10) hours per week; Day-of participation in the Mobile Food Market program (2nd Thursday of the month, 7:30am-2pm).
POSITION STATUS: This is an AFSCME part time, state funded, unit position without benefits.
SALARY: $21.93 per hour*
* Appointments from outside the bargaining unit begin at Step 1.
STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Clerk III will provide clerical, operational, and organizational support for the Mobile Food Market at Bristol Community College. The Clerk III will utilize web-based technology and traditional data entry processes to complete supplemental functions including, but not limited to, event scheduling and logistics, facilitating food and supply orders, managing guest registration and communication, managing volunteers sign up and communication, facilitating food and supply delivery to additional campuses, maintaining records, and generating reports. They will be expected to respond to student, faculty, staff, and community inquiries through various modalities including but not limited to phone, in-person, and email.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage operations of the Mobile Food Market including but not limited to schedule distribution days; completing space reservations and facilities requests; collaborate with Marketing & Communications to promote and advertise the program; collect volunteer information and assign volunteer roles; train volunteers; collect, monitor, and confirm guest registrations; organize onsite program registration and check in; organize items and distribution; breakdown the event; maintain and update appropriate internal and external records; respond to inquiries; and order supplies.
* Provide clerical support to the Director, Wraparound Services.
* Maintain working knowledge of Basic Needs, Wraparound Services, and community resources
* Provide excellent customer service while communicating both verbally and through routine correspondence to students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
* Operate standard office equipment including a personal computer, printer, copier, fax machine, etc.
* Utilize software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and Access) to produce and develop letters, reports, brochures, mail merges, etc.
* Utilize the College's Management Information System (MIS) software, including but not limited to Banner, Argos, accessBCC, DegreeWorks, and campus event management system to fulfill office functions and reporting needs.
* Maintain detailed office records in accordance with established guidelines via manual and automated processes.
* Make referrals to the correct departments and/or personnel based on an understanding of college services.
* Demonstrate a sense of professionalism and consistently reflect Bristol's core values while interacting with members of the Bristol community.
* Focus on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions.
* Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office work, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
I. A diploma as evidence of graduation from the commercial or business course of a recognized high school or vocational/technical high school may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
II. A diploma as evidence of graduation from a course other than the commercial or business course of a recognized high school or vocational/technical high school or possession of a Massachusetts high school equivalency certificate may be substituted for a maximum of eight months of the required experience.*
III. A diploma for completion of a one-year, full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized, non-degree granting business or secretarial school above the high school level may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
IV. A diploma for completion of a two-year, full-time, or equivalent part-time, program in a recognized non-degree granting business or secretarial school above the high school level may be substituted for the required experience.*
* Education toward such a degree or diploma will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese, including verbal and written communication.
* Minimum of an Associate degree.
* Demonstrated experience generating reports.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
