Job Description - CLERK IV.6001100 (#######5)Requisition TitleCLERK IV.6001### ####2355Work LocationsSHERIFF_FISCAL - 133 N RIVERFRONT BLVD - DALLASOrganizationSHERIFF-FISCAL AFFAIRSBrief DescriptionPerforms a variety of complex support tasks for judges, managers, and supervisors, which may include:Preparation, processing and reconciling a variety of documents and records.Researching and resolving problems.Balancing and monitoring accounts.Interacting effectively with the public.May act as group/team lead under a manager or supervisor.Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks, under minimum supervision.Detailed DescriptionActs as a subject matter expert and team leader to provide guidance and training to staff and others. Responsibilities include:Developing policies and procedures.Coordinating and monitoring tasks.Updating and training on policies and procedures.Preparing training materials and aids.Preparing routine correspondence and completing forms.Serving as a liaison to other departments and the public.Researching, compiling and analyzing data to respond to inquiries.Collecting, inputting and reconciling data and funds.Utilizing expertise to verify accuracy of information and compliance with applicable statutes.Providing routine computer support and maintaining reports and schedules.Assisting in employee related issues, including interviewing and maintaining attendance data.Performs other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsGraduation from an accredited high school/GED program. Four (4) years of work-related experience or 60 hours of college credit or a combination of the two. Ability to type 35 wpm or 70 kspm, with knowledge of computer applications and standard word processing software. Must understand and follow written and verbal instructions, organize and process work, and establish effective working relationships.May require prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs unassisted.Additional DetailsCandidates for all clerical, administrative and/or secretarial positions will be required to take and pass at least one skill(s) test(s).
