Position Summary

Receives, stores, and issues materials and maintains records of issuance

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Stores material in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type with consideration of temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space

 Fills orders and distributes stock among production workers

 Maintains records of transactions to maintain accurate database

 Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock; replenish shop supply inventory

 Reports damaged, worn out/missing material and surplus or obsolete material in accordance with established procedure

 Receives, unpacks, counts and examines material to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices

 Assures the self-life of materials and properly disposes of outdated materials

 Maintains a safe and audit-ready work area

 Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 Thorough knowledge of:

o Microsoft office basics

 Skill to:

o Learn inventory software and order processing systems

o Learn industry-related software

o Read and interpret purchase orders, service tags and shipping documents

o Add, subtract, multiply, divide and convert all units of measure
