The Office of Crisis Intervention/Information and Referral provides vital support to all residents of Lehigh County who are experiencing a mental health emergency with the purpose of accessing treatment, recovery, and ultimately an improved quality of life. Come join our team and help make a difference in the life of others DESCRIPTION OF WORK This is a moderately complex bilingual (Spanish) clerical position that provides clerical support to caseworkers and supervisory staff. Work includes answering phones, distributing incoming mail, scanning, filing, ordering supplies, data entry, and providing assistance at the Department of Human Services (DHS) lobby reception window answering questions and problem solving. This individual will also provide clerical support to Crisis Intervention/ I&R and DHS High Density File Room as needed. Additional responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Assisting Integrated Services Staff (Children's Mental Health, CASSP, LEP Coordinator) and Information & Referral and Crisis Intervention Office with interpretation and translation of documents English/Spanish. Attending computer and other human services related trainings and acting as the computer tech aide for the Integrated Services unit Attending, dictating, typing, and distributing minutes from the bi-monthly Crisis Intervention meetings and other meetings as needed. Updating the county KEA data base system with assigned case manager's names, as well as the active and closure dates for the Integrated Services unit Completing DPW billing for Crisis Intervention Assisting with data collection for Integrated Services and/or Crisis Intervention/I&R Scanning documents to the county CPR-Web data base system for the Integrated Services unit and Crisis Intervention Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or Any combination of equivalent experience and training. Other Requirements: This position requires the selected candidate to be able to read, write, and speak in Spanish.
