The Client Development Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Business Development Manager by actively contributing to the execution of business development strategies tailored to a specific market segment or region. This dynamic position is integral to the planning, research, and coordination of strategic initiatives designed to expand the company's customer base. By aligning with the company's overarching growth objectives, the Senior Client Account Manager helps drive success through meticulous attention to detail and proactive support in all aspects of business development.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
* Main point of contact between regional managers and client. Develop relationships with top leaders (C-suite and 1-2 layers down) in client organizations within your assigned region.
* Develop insight into utility budget outlook and capital improvement plans, strategic priorities, and leadership/operating teams
* Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth
* Strengthen client relationships and build them into long-term partnerships.
* Will travel within your region and manager accounts/clients to identify new business opportunities in the T&D market.
* Track opportunities and progress in CRM software
* Leads solution development efforts that best address client account needs, while coordinating the involvement of all P&J resources.
* Maintain relationships with existing or potential clients: Meets regularly with key clients to discuss current and or future projects, evaluate company performance, and identify other business opportunities either with current clients or potential clients.
* Proactively communicates and promotes capabilities to new and existing clients. Interfacing with potential or existing clients, listens for and seeks out new projects/opportunities that align with our strategy.
Supervisory Responsibilities
* This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but may coordinate projects or tasks involving other departments or team members as directed by the Business Development Manager.
Education, Requirements, And Experience
* A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
* An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not required.
* Previous Client Experience. At least 2-5 years within Power and Regulated Utilities.
* Knowledge and overall understanding of the Energy Industry.
* Communicates client interest and drivers to projects team members
