Summary:
The Relationship Manager plays a critical role in supporting the advisor and their clients. This position requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in the financial services industry. The Relationship Manager works closely with Senior Financial Advisors to learn how to provide comprehensive financial planning and investment advice to high-net-worth clients. This role will also provide an opportunity to gain valuable experience in operational back-office procedures, fostering a well-rounded understanding of the wealth management process.
Role and Responsibilities:
Client Service:
- Assist Senior Advisors in preparing for client meetings, including gathering data, conducting research, and preparing presentations.
- Participate in client meetings as needed, observing client interactions and learning best practices.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding trade confirmations, account statements, and other operational matters in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Conduct basic financial planning analyses, including cash flow modeling, retirement planning, and estate planning.
- Assist in the preparation of financial plans and investment proposals.
- Research and analyze investment options, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other asset classes.
- Monitor client portfolios and prepare performance reports.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
- Prepare and maintain various administrative documents, such as client correspondence and meeting minutes.
- Assist with the preparation of compliance documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and portfolio data in the firm's portfolio management system.
- Prepare and maintain various operational reports and spreadsheets.
Operational Support:
- Gain an understanding of operational back-office procedures, including trade order entry, account reconciliation, and client onboarding.
- Assist with operational tasks as needed, such as data entry and file maintenance.
Professional Development:
- Actively pursue professional development opportunities, including industry certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA).
- Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in the financial services industry preferred.
- Strong interest in financial planning and investment management.
- Experience with E-Money, Orion, Schwab and Salesforce a plus
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
