Position Summary

As a (CRF), you will be responsible for the following duties:

Duties include:

* Processing grievances

* Providing patient and staff consultation and education regarding client rights

* Developing policies and procedures consistent with client rights legislation

* Facilitating individual and group sessions

* Serving as hearing magistrate for patients being transferred to a higher security level.

* Helping to improve patient outcomes at WMHI by respecting each patient's rights and conducting business relationships with patients and the public in an ethical manner.

Salary Information

The starting salary is between $27.00 and $30.00 per hour (approximately between $56,100 and $62,400 per year), depending on experience and qualifications, plus excellent benefits.

A 12-month probationary period is required.

Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is in pay schedule and range 12/64.

Job Details

All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.

All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by the facility, or medical personnel directed by the facility prior to their start date.

DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.

Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:

* Experience using computer programs and software such as Microsoft Office Suite for data entry, report production, and document creation.

* Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

* Experience working with patients in a health care facility or correctional setting.

Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:

* Experience conducting interviews and investigations.

* Experience working with challenging patient populations and advocating for their needs (e.g. patients with mental health diagnoses, etc.)

* Experience interpreting and applying Wisconsin Statutes and Wisconsin Administrative Codes pertaining to treatment of clients with mental illnesses.
