Job Type Full-time Description Maps Credit Union seeks a dedicated Client Service Associate to join our growing Maps Investments team. The Client Service Associate will play a pivotal role in supporting our three Financial Advisors by providing excellent customer service to clients all while coordinating the operational, technical, and administrative needs of the department. Maps Investments is a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC, and we use Ameriprises Financial Institution platform. Key responsibilities include: Customer Service Warmly welcome clients who are meeting with Financial Advisors. Triage calls and emails from clients, addressing and resolving their inquiries and issues and escalating as needed. Provide pre-appointment consultations and discuss specific investment products. Schedule appointments for Financial Advisors. Operational & Technical Work independently with clients to open accounts, place investment trade orders, and, if licensed, execute security transactions. Monitor daily client account activity reporting involving incoming and out-going cash and securities. Assist in reviewing quarterly statements and preparing quarterly client review meetings. Collect and analyze member information, such as income, assets, debts, etc. Create and update spreadsheets and reports. Utilize various technology platforms, including CRM software and the Ameriprise trading platform. Administrative Keep complete and accurate documentation of client records and interactions; organize and complete required forms. Communicate follow-up information and send letters to clients and vendors. Schedule and help set up seminars, workshops, and events. Help with administering the employee referral and incentive program to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the program. Assist with coordinating internal marketing programs to encourage cross-sales of investment referrals. Order and maintain office supplies. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Operate and represent Maps Investments with the highest level of integrity and ethics. 2. Uphold and demonstrate Maps core values in every interaction: commitment, character, collaboration, competence and composition. 3. Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone. 4. Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; intermediate to advanced computer skills, including the use of word processing and spreadsheet software applications and e-mail. 5. Ability to retain a broad knowledge of tasks performed in the department. 6. Ability to remain flexible in order to adapt to changes in the work environment and be coachable in your continued improvement. 7. Ability to study and apply new information. 8. Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; excellent time-management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills. 9. Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail. 10. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. 11. Proven customer relationship and business development skills. 12. Ability to work with co-workers, members, and outside agencies professionally and tactfully. Requirements An Associates degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years of proven financial services industry experience. Clean FINRA record (applicants with discrepancies may need to provide a letter of explanation.) Valid drivers license Must be bondable Preferred Qualifications: Experience in security transactions and insurance products. NASD Series 6 or 7, 63 and 65 or 66 licenses.
