A Prominent, Independent RIA in Houston, TX is hiring a Wealth Management Associate to provide operational and client service support to a team of advisors. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role will require confidentiality, initiative, and sound decision making to handle a wide range of high-level administrative and client service activities. As an integral part of a collaborative team, the ideal candidate will be willing to take on additional tasks with a positive attitude, as well as adapt procedures, processes, and techniques to complete each task while keeping the firm s objectives and goals top of mind.

Responsibilities

  • Assist up to four financial advisors with daily activities including maintaining calendars, preparing correspondence, and delivering an exceptional client servicing experience.
  • Work with an advisor who may be transitioning his book of business to our firm.
  • Interact with clients in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Prepare and review new account paperwork
  • Facilitate and resolve client service requests
  • Apply a working knowledge of operations/client-service processes
  • Work independently, effectively, and efficiently
  • Ensure paperwork is prepared and provided for all client meetings promptly
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly
  • Assist in monthly/quarterly reporting activities
  • Answering inbound calls
  • Process cashiering requests for clients
  • Manage multiple financial online systems in a paperwork-intensive environment
  • Deliver exceptional client service in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Facilitate and resolve client service requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Attend required operations and compliance meetings
  • Complete required operations and compliance related projects

Required Experience/Skills

  • 3+ years of experience within an client service and operations support role in Financial Services, preferably an RIA
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when dealing with clients
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Committed to providing an exceptional client service experience
  • A high degree of comfort managing multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining meticulous when completing work
  • Excellent time management skills and operate with a high level of focus
  • Strong character and a positive attitude
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to problem-solve and think critically
  • Experience working in depth with Fidelity Investments (Wealthscape), Charles Schwab (Advisor Center) and LPL (ClientWorks) preferred

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $70k Base Annual Salary
  • 10% Annual Bonus at Meets Expectations & Revenue Share Opportunity
  • Three weeks of paid vacation and two personal days per year after a 90-day initial review period.
  • Standard company health, life, and disability insurance coverage will be supplied per company policy. Other benefits, including 401(k) and gym membership subsidy, will take place per company policy. Currently, the 401k consists of a match of employee contributions of 4% of annual salary.
