DescriptionJob Summary The Client Services Representative in the Co-Counsel Relations Department ensures smooth communication, collaboration, and coordination among our firm, our clients and co-counsel attorneys to effectively represent the client's interests in the legal matter at hand.   • No direct supervision responsibilities
Essential Duties/Responsibilities Case Management:
  • Assist with gathering additional information from clients to help assess the viability of cases.
  • Provide follow up on cases to ensure acceptance or notifying appropriate team members of decline.
  • Ensure completion and receipt of Joint Representation Agreement.
  • Maintain file management by ensuring all correspondence between Hughes & Coleman, client and co-counsel is filed away accordingly.
  • Assisting with the preparation and filing of legal documents and coordinating court appearances and hearings among co-counsel attorneys.
Client Relations/Communication:
  • Participate in compassionate and effective communication with clients to ensure they feel informed and supported throughout the process.
  • Obtaining client permission to work with co-counsel firms.
  • Maintain client contact as required.
  • Address client concerns expressed by call, email or text within 24 hours.
  • Communicate clearly with co-counsel firms to ensure a smooth transition for the client.
Co-Counsel Relations/Communications:
  • Facilitate regular communication between Hughes & Coleman and Ron Bell Injury Attorneys as well as co-counsel attorneys to ensure everyone is informed about case developments, deadlines, and strategies.
  • Act as a liaison between the clients and co-counsel attorneys to keep clients informed about the progress of the case and address any concerns they may have.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
  • Ability to work independently and to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to professionally multitask and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Provides a trustworthy source for both clients and coworkers
  • Reliable and dependable in performing job-related tasks and finishing assigned projects
  • Meets deadlines and appointments
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Education and Experience:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 1 year of clerical work experience
Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License, favorable driving record
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
