CLIENT SERVICES SPECIALIST
Summary
The Fortis Bank Client Services Specialist is responsible for upholding our strong client experience culture by partnering with our clients and team members to provide excellent service. The ideal candidate will be able to undertake a variety of client service tasks and work diligently under pressure. This individual will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
Responsibilities
Client Services
* Deliver a comprehensive, smoothly executed client service experience by providing ongoing support to our clients related to account opening and servicing.
* Manage call, chat, and e-mail volume by answering, screening, and forwarding incoming correspondence appropriately.
* Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for all mobile banking and treasury management solutions, including but not limited to online banking, wire transfers, ACH transfers, Bill Pay, and Positive Pay processing.
* Assist clients with ordering debit cards, checks, and other standard banking products.
* Partner with Operations teams to provide additional support as needed based on transaction volume.
* Act as a back-up for branch team members, performing standard teller transactions for clients as needed.
* Develop a fundamental understanding of the banking industry, as well as a complete understanding of products and services offered to our clients.
* Follow all internal policies and procedures to ensure the bank is operating in a compliant manner.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree preferred; High school diploma required.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail or commercial banking.
* Embodies the Fortis Bank culture principles and competencies and consistently demonstrating a positive, ambitious, and solution-oriented attitude with clients and team members.
* Proficient and experienced in Microsoft Office suite products and technology, including but not limited to: Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Strong ability to adapt to systems and technology, including but not limited to: client relationship management tools, conference room management and teleconferencing systems and tools, banking core systems, and other common office management products.
* Communicates effectively and professionally, both verbally and via e-mail and other chat tools.
* Excellent organizational skills, regularly demonstrating the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
* Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful professional relationships with senior management and team members.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Office Requirements: This position is required to work from a Fortis Bank branch location, Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM.
