Job DetailsJob LocationFresno - 421 F Street - Fresno, CAPosition TypeFull TimeEducation LevelHigh SchoolSalary Range$20.00 - $20.00 HourlyJob CategoryAdmin - ClericalDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:This position will conduct Pre-Enrollment Screenings/Assessments with potential participants and will provide office support including answers to phone inquiries, filing, scheduling appointments, scheduling educational training sessions, managing administrative paperwork and assist with data entry. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Intake and assessment of incoming participants to determine eligibility and appropriate services.
- Coordinate with Saint Agnes Holy Cross staff for the delivery of services on-site.
- Tours of facility as necessary.
- Provide general program information to the public.
- Provide case management services to a caseload of participants, as required.
- Serve as an active part of the Housing team and carry out all required responsibilities as needed.
- Make referrals and appointments with appropriate agency, services including but not limited to health care providers, employment offices, substance and mental health treatment programs, public assistance, and other mainstream services.
- Schedule appointments, manage correspondence, handle incoming/outgoing phone contacts, and type meeting minutes.
- Order supplies and reconcile purchase orders.
- Assist with preparation of meetings (photocopying, prep meeting rooms, etc.).
- Make travel arrangements for staff members as needed.
- Review and distribute, when appropriate, all incoming mail addressed to the program and administrative staff.
- Assist with the updating and managing contract information in the WestCare Intranet database (CDS).
- Maintain filing system for administrative files and any other relevant files.
- Must embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
QualificationsESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Excellent judgement, integrity, and discretion involving confidential information.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to MS Excel and Word, Web-based programs, and tools.

- Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served.
- Ability to work flexible schedule (schedule may include weekends and evening hours).
- Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a criminal background clearance
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare's vehicle insurance is required; and
- CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.
- During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Experience consisting of two (2) years of experience providing administrative support is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with individuals suffering from mental health and substance abuse disorders is required.
- Associate degree in field related to the position is preferred.
- GED or High School Diploma is required.

- Not applicable for this position.
