Job Description The Client Strategist II is the highest-level Strategist and is a critical member of the team supporting the Financial Services vertical. This well-rounded professional consults directly with bank and credit union clients to scope and recommend Vericast acquisition products and solutions. They provide consultative and analytical services utilizing data and insights across a variety of analytical sources to inform multi-channel marketing strategies. The objective of this position is to achieve a variety of Financial Institution (FI) outcomes - new households, accounts, mortgages, HELOC/home equity, and the acquisition of other products. They partner with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation, challenge the status quo, and implement solutions and programs to advance priorities. They establish and maintain strong customer relationships with both internal and external teams. They serve as a change agent, championing agile ways of thinking and working to enable teams and individuals for success. They drive excellence in financial acumen, communication (verbal, written and presentation), business and strategic planning, performance monitoring and reporting. They translate market developments into practical, actionable insights by developing a compelling, persuasive story, point of view, and determine relevant impacts to current and future strategy. They utilize best-in-class expertise in data visualization and modeling to create compelling insights and storytelling in support of client priorities and budgets. They champion the implementation of innovative analytics tools to derive actionable insights from large financial services data sets. They apply understanding of market research and analysis of external market data sources to develop forecast models and scenario planning for clients. They maintain up-to-date knowledge of the evolving financial services environment and translate insights to implications for Vericast clients' strategy, sales and business planning. KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Client Strategy: Consults remotely with Financial Institution (FI) clients of all sizes and geographies as well as internal teams to identify objectives and strategies that help our financial services clients solve business needs. Finds solutions for client problems and competitive challenges. Conducts market research. Performs analysis of competitors to identify opportunities for internal and client strategies. Stays up to date with technologies and consumer behaviors. Ensures all internal teams understand client challenges and cross sell opportunities. 65%
- Client Presentations: Key member of selling team engaged in client presentations at all levels. Creates and presents the client strategy and market brief. Crafts and tells the data story. Presents the pre-Sales dashboard and current campaign results in client meetings. 20%
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serves as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams on multi- channel media and marketing strategies across Vericast solutions that will drive client revenue and outcomes. Recommends solution enhancements to Product teams. Recommends post-program measurement and reporting plan for client. Understands clients' businesses and pro-actively identifies opportunities to deliver on business goals. 15%
QualificationsEDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree (Required);Professional certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous high-level or senior management role in financial services required (credit union, bank or related vendor to the industry) (SVP, CMO, CXO, COO or CLO preferred).
- 7-10 years' experience in Financial Institution (FI) Business Acumen. Both sides of Balance Sheet understanding how product drives the business and ability to speak to quantifying results from a management perspective.
- Experience with end user FI consumption and/or selling of digital services, lending / loan acquisition solutions or deposit generating products over multiple channels.
- Consulting background or agency experience preferred. Executive presence highly desirable.
- Understand Financial Statements and can interpret these into actionable strategies.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to develop metrics, create reports, interpret results, and make appropriate recommendations; data driven with a focus on business results for projects undertaken.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data insights and translate these into compelling story telling, beyond just the facts.
- Demonstrated understanding of compliance, risk and underwriting requirements of the financial services industry associated with the NCUA, FDIC and CFPB.
- Travel expected (up to 50%)
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills coupled with the ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.
- Excellent collaboration, organizational, time management, presentation, and writing skills; ability to deliver clear, direct, and effective communication (written & orally) for public consumption.
- Diplomatic communicator skilled in saying no when appropriate; able to negotiate internally as well as with clients to ensure solutions can both address client needs and Vericast capabilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency running effective meetings, facilitating large scale executive workshops and getting buy-in and participation from Executive leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop trusted and working partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Advanced computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, Tableau, PowerPoint, CRM & MCIF Software).
- Independent initiative-taker with proven ability to both identify and solve client or internal challenges.

DECISION MAKING Must align recommendations, best practices, media plans and deliverables to achieve client financial benefits and desired outcomes. Decisions will be made with respect to these guidelines and with pre-approved guidance from Executive Sponsor / Executive Leadership. Reports directly to the VP FI Client Strategy. Additional InformationBase Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000Position is eligible for a sales incentive/commission program.The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
