Job Description:
  • Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment.
  • Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents.
  • Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
  • Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
  • Entry-level support individual contributors.
  • Work is closely supervised.
  • Work consists of tasks that are routine.
  • Explains facts and practices related to the job area.
Nature of Supervision:
  • Works with close supervision on routine tasks.
  • Detailed instructions are provided and close peer review is required.
Communication and Influence:
  • Communicates with contacts typically within the team on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.
Innovation and Complexity:
  • Work consists of tasks that are routine.
  • Work is structured within identified boundaries and procedures.
  • Follows established processes to complete tasks.
  • Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution.

Education and Experience:
  • Requires minimal job knowledge/skills.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.
  • Good hand/eye coordination - manual dexterity is required as will be working with glass products.
  • Read drawings/blueprints/work instructions.
  • Close attention to detail and quality.
Nice To Have:
  • Microscope experience.
  • Soldering experience.
  • Experience handing small products/microchips.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical measuring equipment and quality control terminology (preferred).
  • Related manufacturing work experience (including soldering and high-volume production) Soldering certification preferred.
Must Have:
  • Good communication skills.
  • Teamwork oriented.
  • bility to work with little or no supervision if required.

Degree/Certification Requirements:
  • HS Diploma/GED and 4 years' experience.
Degree/Certification Preferences:
  • 2 year degree with 0-2 years.
