WHAT WE'RE ABOUT:

THE RUNDOWN:

This position is part of the clinical care team and is responsible for providing in-office nursing care, including patient triage, immunization administration, and assistance with procedures. Responsibilities include new patient intake, visit summary discharge, medication review, continuity of care, and oversight of Medical Assistant duties.

Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

* Patient Rooming: Oversees patient rooming with the care team, prioritizing new and complex patients. Duties include obtaining health histories, updating medication lists and allergies, measuring vital signs, and ensuring cleanliness and stock in the room.

* Patient Care: Supports clinic providers in patient care, including specialty procedures, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and routine lab tests. Oversees and verifies vaccines administered by medical assistants.

* Patient Discharge: Conduct patient discharge summary, educating on medications, provider orders, follow-up, and relevant information.

* Triage and Clinical Management: Collaborates with providers and team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participates in daily Care Team huddles to enhance communication about patients. Monitors the scheduling system to maintain patient flow and triages both in-clinic and external patients needing care from the team.

* Other Clinical Duties: Oversees medication and sample distribution, sterilizes instruments, stocks medical supplies, and safely transports specimens and equipment. Assists with medical emergencies in the clinic.

* Performs all duties, services and documentation in full compliance with CHC/SEK policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

* Possession of a valid Registered Nurse license or Licensed Practical Nurse license in the practice state or a multistate license from the nurse's resident state.

* Preferably two years of nursing experience in an outpatient clinic.

* Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association within six (6) months from date of hire.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Employee is required to regularly sit, use hands to handle/feel, reach, and communicate by talking or hearing. Frequent standing and occasional walking are required. Must regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Hazardous material inventory and MSDS are available. Use personal protective equipment as required. Possible exposure to communicable diseases from patients/public.
