JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Substance Use Services, the ClinicalSupervisor is responsible for providing oversight for the day-to-day operation of the First Steps 822 Substance Use Clinic. Responsible for supervising front-line staff, coordinating coverage, problem-solving, and overseeing daily operations at the FirstSteps 822 SubstanceUse clinic. Responsible for evaluating clinic compliance, monitoring, and reporting. Assists in projecting, developing, and monitoring revenue.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervision & Leadership
- Provide weekly individual supervision and biweekly group supervision to staff and assigned interns.
- Responsible for the overall implementation and management of the OASAS clinic.
- Allocate nonprofit contracts, track, and report metrics to stakeholders, and ensure timely achievement of deliverables.
- Actively participate in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of supervised positions.
- Educate staff on data collection, documentation, and reporting protocols.
- Utilize weekly electronic health record reports to measure program deliverables, ensure data accuracy, and provide constructive feedback.
- Review, develop, and implement departmental policies and procedures
- Weekly data entry into the PAS system for OASAS.
- Assists with the development and management of strategies for program funding and self-sustainability.
- Participates in assigned internal committees.
- Attends external meetings as assigned, including but not limited to: Reentry Council and Coalition of Behavioral Health OASAS meetings
Outreach & Partnerships
- Creates and maintains linkage agreements with potential referral sources.
- Conduct outreach and maintain working relationships with graduate schools and referral sources.

Additional Responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned based on program needs.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and Saturdays.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- In-depth understanding of Harm Reduction and its core principles.
- Strong knowledge of Trauma-Informed Practices.
- Demonstrated experience in generating revenue for clinical services.
- Proficiency with Medicaid managed care, and other client billing processes.
- Familiarity with OASAS regulations.
- Experience working within the community and utilizing community resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
EDUCATION:
- MINIMUM: Masters of Social Work/Services
- MINIMUM: Licensed Master Social Worker required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- MINIMUM: Three (3) years providing clinical supervisory experience required.
- MINIMUM: Three (3) years experience working in a clinical/substance use program.
PREFERED SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. (Spanish and Haitian-Creole preferred)
LICENSURE: LMSW Required, LCSW Preferred
CERTIFICATION: SIFI or willingness to obtain SIFI
