General Summary of Position

Unit HighlightsThe Clinical Administrator is amember of MedStar Health entity-based Division of Nursing and leadership team.The role is accountable for directing andsupervising clinical and administrative and ancillary resources to ensure the provision ofholistic, culturally competent, quality, safe, andcost-effective evidence-based nursing care for patients and families. This isaccomplished by direct action, delegation, coaching andsupport of the Division of Nursing's associates and shared/collaborativegovernance activities.The Clinical Administrator isrecognized as a professional role model and clinical expert who promotes aprofessional practice and care environment that supports continuous learning. The Clinical Administrator assumesleadership authority and responsibility during a specific shift (e.g., day,evening, night, and/or weekend) either for a designatednumber of patient care units/departments or the hospital at large. Collaborateswith the members of the Nursing Leadershipteam and other administrators/leaders within the hospital in maintainingadherence to regulatory and accreditationstandards, and MedStar Health's policies and procedures. Demonstratesleadership and behaviors which are consistent with MedStar'smission, vision, goals, SPIRIT Values, patient care philosophy, and sound moraland ethical judgement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BSN from an accredited School of Nursing required. MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum three years of progressive nursing experience required. Leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.

This position has a hiring range of $86,112.00 - $131,497.00
