Job DetailsJob LocationDanbury - Danbury, CTDescriptionGENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:Provides enterprise or departmental information systems support to clinicians in the use of clinical information systems such as interdisciplinary and specialty EMRs as assigned. Assesses workflow related processes and requirements to facilitate system enhancements and modifications. Recommends, implements, and supports approved system optimizations.Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm ( occasional weekends when needed)Remote-Hybrid: Must be located in Fairfield County area ( Must be able to come into the office when needed and to train)Benefits:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide date-to-day support for EHR applications and ancillary systems through analysis, build, testing, training, configuration, implementation and support IT activities at OrthoConnecticut
  • Work with MSP in receiving and acting upon tickets by identifying the root cause of issues and collaborating with application support
  • Acts as a liaison and represents the system users/customers in all project initiatives. Performs post-implementation monitoring of adoption and use.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary and process improvement teams to identify potential uses of the information systems and potential optimization of current use of systems.
  • Supports the integration and use of evidence-based methods, tools, and guidelines linked to effective outcomes.
  • Supports data analytics, including quality of care measures, to improve population health outcomes and global health. Supports clinical staff in the real time application of information to change healthcare delivery and affect patient outcomes.
  • Resolves and documents problems professionally, promptly and accurately
  • Prepares templates, databases, etc. in applications for use by staff
  • Trains and supports staff on the proper use of the applications
  • Identifies and reports bugs and follows up to make sure fixes are received and tested
  • Completes, maintains and processes pertinent records
  • Plans and schedules levels of support according to product release schedules
  • Assists in final testing of new products or releases
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
QualificationsREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
  • 3-5 years of clinical application experience with various EMR products
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance both remotely and in person.
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Knowledge of GE Centricity, SRS, Nextgen and Athena preferred.
  • CMS MIPS reporting experience a plus.
