The Department of Anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS), General Anesthesiologist. The successful candidate will:
* Administer anesthesia through anesthetic techniques (general, regional, & sedation) to patients in general operating room ambulatory setting and obstetrical suite.
* Participate in clinical operating room supervision and classroom teaching as well as conduct evaluations for residents and medical students, as required by the department.
* Mentor students and residents in research and scholarly activities.
* Participate in administrative duties and on-call assignments as required by the department.
* Clinical service includes general operating room and ambulatory coverage; committed call are in 4-week cycles, 4-calls per cycle.
Required Qualifications:
* Medical Doctor Degree.
* Successful completion of training in an ACGME accredited residency.
* New York State Medical Licensure.
* Board Certified in Anesthesiology.
* Sub-specialty (if applicable).
