Clinical Coordinator
Empowered Staffing is partnered with a career-focused institution in Florence, KY, known for its nursing programs, to find a Clinical Coordinator to support the School of Nursing. This position is crucial in arranging and managing clinical placements for nursing students in the Cincinnati/Florence region, fostering relationships with clinical sites, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Reporting to the Deans of Nursing, the Clinical Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing student experiences, supporting faculty, and contributing to the overall mission of the college.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Placements: Coordinate and secure clinical rotations, maintain affiliation agreements, and serve as the liaison between the college and clinical sites.
- Student Support: Guide students through clinical requirements, manage attendance records, communicate schedule updates, and assist with pre registration.
- Faculty Collaboration: Recruit, orient, and support clinical faculty while maintaining communication regarding clinical site and student issues.
- Administrative Duties: Participate in faculty meetings, accreditation processes, and program-related committees while maintaining clinical documentation and student records.
- Teaching and Advising: Teach up to two clinical or lab sessions weekly if needed, assist in labs, and serve as an advisor for students transitioning into professional roles.
- Evaluation and Feedback: Gather and report clinical evaluation feedback to improve programs and contribute to student performance evaluations in clinical settings.
- Professional Representation: Promote professional behavior, uphold nursing standards, and actively engage with community and industry stakeholders to enhance the nursing program.
Qualifications:
- Skills/Abilities: Management and leadership skills; organizational research skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills; strong clinical and professional skills. Licensed and insured to drive a vehicle.
- Experience: 2 + years of clinical experience required. Previous clinical teaching experience preferred.
- Education: A master's in nursing; or a bachelor's degree in nursing with a master's degree in related field. Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Kentucky and/or Ohio. Current health care provider CPR card. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
