Position Summary:

The CareGauge Clinical Executive will be responsible for serving as the clinical subject matter expert (SME) for our CareGauge product. This role will work very closely with our product, analytics, implementation, and client success teams to assure that CareGauge is delivering a product that is efficient within the clinician's workflow, delivering actional insights, and offering measurable value realization for our health system clients.

The ideal candidate will have a clinical background with a strong understanding of appropriate clinical care, length-of-stay (LOS) improvement initiatives, care utilization (imaging, labs, medications), and quality metrics. Must have experience with analyzing data, generating insights, and building reports to drive clinical initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Product

  • Product Feedback: Gather, analyze, and communicate product feedback and feature requests based on client needs, ensuring the product evolves to meet clinical demands.
  • Work collaboratively with the CareGauge Product Owner as a clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to give product suggestions, relay feedback received during engagement with users/clients, and contribute to evolution of the product.

Analytics

  • Data Analysis: Work closely with the data and analytics teams to dig into client data, identifying trends or areas of concern, and provide clinical context to insights.
  • Utilization and LOS Expertise: leverage your clinical expertise to digest KPIs and metrics to support deeper dives into trends in care utilization (imaging, labs, and medications) and LOS.
  • Clinical Analytics Feedback: Identify and escalate clinically relevant reporting needs, providing actionable feedback to improve analytics and reporting functionalities.

Client Success

  • Key Client Meetings: Assist the Client Success Team by providing clinical expertise during client meetings. Determine what clinical support is needed in regular vs. on-demand client interactions.
  • Clinical Insights Playbook: responsible for the playbook that the Client Success Team uses to analyze client data and share results with clients. This may include trends across hospitals, DRGs, specialties, and individual physicians in regard to LOS as well as utilization of imaging, labs, and medications.

Implementation

  • Workflow Discovery Sessions: participate in client workflow discovery sessions on current LOS and utilization initiatives to understand their clinical processes and needs, ensuring seamless implementation of CareGauge.
  • Go-Live Support: Assist onsite as a clinical expert during go-live events, providing expertise and guidance to clients as they begin utilizing CareGauge.

Training Development

  • Training Strategy: work with Clinical Training Director to develop and execute training strategies.
  • Training Scenario Creation: assist Clinical Training Director with creation of clinical training scenarios based on client-specific issues, user behaviors, and clinical requirements.

Clinical Support & Issue Resolution

  • Clinical Question Responses: support the client success team with responding to clinical inquiries from clients, including clarifying issues raised by users and clients.

CareGauge Clinical Advisory Group (CG CAG)

  • CG CAG will be a group of client clinical, case management, IT, and operational stakeholders that meets every quarter to serve as a forum for client feedback and engagement.
  • Provide clinical expertise to the CG CAG, ensuring that best practices are consistently delivered to clients, new product features are identified, and attributable value is generated.

Assumptions:

  • Maintain awareness of the health care industry, evidence-based practice, length-of-stay, case management, and regulatory trends to inform CareGauge strategic initiatives.
  • Invest in effective working relationships with EvidenceCare team members and clients.
  • Attend to the needs of internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate accountability of being a self-motivated team player that works under little supervision, with strong organizational, management, and analytical skills to effectively execute on deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a clinical field (Nursing, Physician, Healthcare Administration).
  • At least 3 years clinical experience.
  • Experience and understanding of clinical best practices, evidence-based medicine, quality metrics, and care improvement initiatives.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data from a clinical perspective and pull together a narrative using a data story.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain clinical concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams to solve complex client needs.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality deliverables.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize/manage workload.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving client needs and priorities.
  • Fluent with Microsoft tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) as well as BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
