St Croix Regional Medical Center is currently seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist. Working shifts include Monday-Friday, regular business hours. This full-time position will be based in St. Croix Falls, WI with periodic travel to community clinics as needed. The Clinical Documentation Specialist supports the design, training and optimization of the Excellian/Epic (EMR) platform at clinic locations. Within the Excellian/Epic workflows and interfaces, this position is responsible for supporting the ongoing optimization/continuous improvement to clinic processes and procedures of multiple primary and specialty practices. The Specialist will lead and participate collaboratively in projects involving Excellian/Epic upgrades, modifications, and design/new build or workflow changes to enhance provider efficiency, compliance and revenue capture. They will consult with administrative and clinical users to identify problems and resolutions related to applications and functionality.Essential Job Duties:
- Serve as content expert on clinical documentation, rounding and continuous support
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions resulting in efficient workflow
- Participate in developing, implementing and managing optimal provider utilization of EMR to maintain documentation standards and establish efficiency for care teams
- Respond to user level and configuration/build level support questions related to Excellian/Epic
- Deliver end user training on assigned Excellian/Epic functionality
- Primary person to enroll new employees across the organization in Excellian classes for the onboarding
RequirementsEducation & Licensure:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of Associate's degree in related field
- Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year college or university preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a clinical healthcare environment
- Experience with implementing, configuring, utilizing, and/or supporting Electronic Medical Record system
- Previous training and/or workflow analysis experience

- Train staff and users to work with the Electronic Medical Record.
- Observe staff in current workflow, and offer efficiencies
- Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems.
- Specify inputs accessed by the system and plan the distribution and use of the results.
