DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: This position will be for approximately 20 hours per week and will mainly focus on teaching new nurses and clinical staff orientation on our MEDITECH EMR.Works collaboratively with users of clinical information systems, including nurses, physicians, ancillary staff, management, and information systems analysts. Responsible for coordinating aspects of planning, design, development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of clinical information systems. Utilizes the knowledge and skills of clinical practice to determine clinical functions that are suitable for computer application and to ensure the Information systems are consistent with professional standards of clinical practice.GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs).Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.Strong computer skills.Project Management experience preferred.Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills.WORKING CONDITIONS General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area, with moderate noise levels.May be required to change from one task to another of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel.May be scheduled as needed including overtime.Must be able to sit for long periods of time.QualificationsEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required).Master's Degree (Preferred).EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 4 - 5 years Experience in Clinical Informatics. (Required).4 - 5 years Change management experience. (Required).4 - 5 years Experience with large-scale education roll out. (Required).4 - 5 years Project Management experience in a healthcare setting. (Preferred).4 - 5 years Experience in implementing and/or upgrading a clinical application in a healthcare setting. (Required).3 - 4 years Clinical Experience (Required).CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES Required Certifications/Licensures: RN, RT, PT/OT or Current Georgia Licensure in Healthcare related field, Clinical Informaticist Certification.GENERAL SKILLS Organizational Skills.Communication Skills.Interpersonal Skills.Customer Relations.Mathematical.Analytical.Grammar/Spelling.Read/Comprehend Written Instructions.Follow Verbal Instructions.Basic Computer Skills.Microsoft Office Suite.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Have near normal vision - Clarity of vision (both near and far), ability to distinguish colors.Have good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination.Ability to perform repetitive tasks/motion.PHYSICAL DEMANDS Standing - Occasionally within shift (1-33%).Walking - Frequently within shift (34-66%).Sitting - Continuously within shift (67-100%).#J-18808-Ljbffr
