Clinical Lab Technologist - AnyPlace MD : Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Lab Technologist to join a dynamic Surgical Pathology lab just miles from Upper Manhattan!

This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a cutting-edge laboratory environment with a focus on preparing pathological slides for diagnostic procedures.The selected candidate will enjoy a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate tissue processors to create paraffin blocks for diagnosis.
• Embed and section pathology specimens using rotary microtomes.
• Perform routine and special staining (H&E, GMS, AFB, PAS) to identify tissues and organisms.
• Conduct enzyme histochemistry, including Leder esterase staining.
• Prepare solutions for histological processing.
• Assist with immunohistochemistry and handle pathology requests.
• File paraffin blocks and slides systematically.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a physical science, preferably in medical technology.
• Clinical Laboratory Technologist License from the New York State Department of Education
• Two years of hands-on experience in histological procedures.
