DescriptionWHAT WE'RE ABOUT:At Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas (CHC/SEK) we provide the compassionate, quality healthcare that patients deserve, regardless of their ability to pay.THE RUNDOWN:This position is part of the Clinical team. The Clinical Onboarding Specialist will facilitate the onboarding of new staff through active participation in orientation, training, staff development and reinforcement of the EMR system and care team work flows. This position will provide on-going clinical skills and EMR assessment for all clinical support staff to identify areas of re-education needs. The Clinical Onboarding Specialist will coordinate training needs and serve as liaison among end users of the system. This position will help bring continuity across the organization as related to patient quality, patient experience and patient satisfaction. This position will also assist Nursing Leadership with special projects.RequirementsWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:* Educate clinical end users to optimize utilization of the EHR in both a classroom setting and clinic setting.* Orient and onboard new clinical staff. Provide training on clinical workflows, provider support and clinical skills.* Complete 30, 60, 90 days assessment of new staff and communicate with nursing supervisors to address any needs or concerns.* Provide continuing education to all nursing staff on changed workflows, or new EMR processes.* Develop and perform competency assessments with clinical staff. Communicate assessments to supervisory personnel as needed.* Develop training and/or education plans for staff needing performance improvement in conjunction with Director of Nursing and other supervisor personnel as appropriate.* Develop new workflows in conjunction with Chief Clinical Officer, Director of Nursing and, EHR team when inefficiencies are identified.* Work closely with the Director of Medical Staff Development & Education and the Quality Enhancement department to ensure clinical staff are utilizing current workflows and processes to best meet the needs of the care team.* Assist Nursing Leadership with specific special projects.* Teach and support Care Team model and Integrated Health to ensure clinical continuity of the care teams.* Build rapport with clinical staff to provide long term support and mentor relationship.* Provide clinical support onsite as needs are identified.* Perform all duties and services in full compliance with CHC/SEK policies and procedures.* Assumes other duties as assigned.WHAT YOU'LL NEED:* Associate Degree* Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Kansas.* 1-2 years of training experience in using an EMR preferred.* Preferably five years clinical experience in an outpatient clinic.* Ability to communicate confidently and professionally in both written and oral forms.* Valid driver's license, this position will travel frequently.BENEFITS:* Waived copays for most medical, behavioral health and pharmacy prescriptions at any CHC location* Medical, Dental, Vision, and Voluntary Life Insurance* Critical Illness, Accident, Short-Term Disability, and Pet Coverage* Company paid life insurance and long-term disability* Retirement Plan- 5% Employer Contribution* Medical & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts* PTO- Starts accruing day 1 (Plus an additional 8 hours for your birthday!)* Employee Assistance Program (EAP)* CEU and License Reimbursements for eligible positionsWORKING CONDITIONS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to situ; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
