Clinical PharmacistPharmacyFull TimeEveningMon-Fri 12p-8pSign On Bonus : $10,000Position SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy Services the Clinical Pharmacist will assume the responsibilityand accountability for the management of rational antibiotic therapy used within the Hospital , or management ofthe critical care or high risk patients as defined by area of responsibility. Will provide for the collaboration and consultationwith other health professionals on the therapeutic use of antibiotics or other medication for patients under the scope ofresponsibility. Will also provide education and training for health professionals involved in this clinical forum.Education & Experience Requirements Graduate from an accredited school of Pharmacy with a PharmD degree.Current New York State Registration.Core Competencies? Ability to interpret, understand and communicate effectively in written and verbal English? Ability to act in a professional capacity and serve as a role model.? Retains composure under stressPhysical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment? Must be physically able to ambulate or be stationary for extended periods of time, perform difficultmanipulative arm-hand steadiness and hand-eye coordination skills. Must be physically able to meet allregulatory requirements.? Ability to focus and concentrate on fine detail with interruption and attend to tasks for more than 60 minutes ata time. Individual must be able to understand theories behind several related concepts and remembermultiple tasks given during the course of a day.? Must be able to detect, interpret and judge objects both closely and distant.? May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital's SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital's Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also be found at the hospital switchboard, saved on a disc.
