Under the auspices of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network Pharmacy Director and the Spaulding Hospital Pharmacy Director, the Clinical Pharmacist supports mission and goal achievement, organizational quality, and patient-centered care in addition to participating in new projects to develop Clinical Pharmacy Services. The Clinical Pharmacist is on-site at Spaulding Nursing & Therapy Center (Brighton) and will remotely partner with Clinical Pharmacists at other Spaulding sites. The Clinical Pharmacist functions as both a clinician and coordinator dedicated to providing support of medication use systems and delivery of optimal medication therapy. The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing the integration of clinical pharmacy services, drug utilization programs, and disease management and is an integral member of the Pharmacy Leadership team. The Clinical Pharmacist sets and models the standard for excellence for clinical pharmacy practice and designs pharmacy programs to collaboratively advance the Comprehensive Pharmacy Practice model. The Clinical Pharmacist educates pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy interns on pharmacotherapy and SR-specific medication guidelines and procedures. Through various assignments within the department, the Clinical Pharmacist partners with providers, nurses, and pharmacists to care for patients with a broad range of disease states
Qualifications Qualifications and ExperienceEducation/DegreeRequired• Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of PharmacyPreferred• Doctor or Pharmacy or other advanced degree• Completion of ASHP accredited PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency• BPS Certification
ExperiencePreferred• Significant knowledge and expertise in advanced pharmacy practice and evidence-based medicine
LicensureRequired• Current, valid license registered to practice by the Massachusetts State Board of Pharmacy.Preferred
