Is your passion building and maintaining relationships with study participants? Are you tired of the boring, repetitive box checking exercise given to most Clinical Research Coordinators? This Clinical Research Coordinator (Participant Engagement Specialist) position at 4YouandMe is available beginning Q1 2025 and requires a minimum of 6 months.

4YouandMe is a non-profit organization on a mission to empower individuals to take charge of their health data for the benefit of all. Over the past 8 years we have studied how smartphones, study apps, and wearable devices can enable individuals to better navigate their own health conditions, and continue to tackle questions we feel have not been answered by current technologies or wearable device companies themselves.

At 4YouandMe, you will join a small, seasoned team of knowledgeable professionals, who have held leadership positions in organizations such as: Apple, Merck, Harvard, and Oxford, and have now chosen to devote their time to disrupting existing mechanisms of healthcare by using digital wearable devices that can empower individuals to co-pilot their own health issues. Our current staff expansion is to support an upcoming Chan Zuckerberg Initiative Funded study: CZI Rare As One, that aims to co-design and pilot test symptom tracking and transmitting apps across 5 different chronic conditions including: Long COVID, Pancreatitis, Sarcoidosis, VCP disease and Primary Ciliary disease. The goal of this project is to: develop new ways to gain insights into symptom trajectories of these conditions that are currently not well understood by patients or their clinicians; and develop new tools to improve communication between doctors and patients.

We are recruiting for full-time Clinical Research Coordinators (Participant Engagement Specialists) to support the CZI Rare As One Study. This is a remote position working within the 4YouandMe distributed research team.

What you will be doing:

• Join a team of experienced engagements experts
• Building and maintaining relationships to support study participation and engagement through bi-weekly phone check-ins under times of high stress for the participants
• Troubleshooting issues with mobile apps and wearable devices
• Organizing and maintaining participant contact logs and study data
• Help modify study and app features before and during active trials

We'd love to hear from you if you have the following:

• A year or more of health-related research experience, or relevant experience working directly with patients/study participants or communicating with study participants through phone or other means
• Effective and efficient communication skills for diverse audiences
• Active and empathetic listener
• Detail-oriented with computer skills
• Flexibility to contact participants at times most convenient for them
• A sense of urgency to support the increasingly failing healthcare community

• Training in human subjects protections, research ethics, and compliance (preferred)
• Experience with mobile apps and/or wearable devices (preferred)
• Experience with RedCAP (preferred)
