Clinical Research Manager - San Francisco, CA (94158)

We are seeking a Clinical Research Manager to lead and grow a dynamic clinical research team within our oncology program. This is a fast-paced role requiring a detail-oriented, independent professional with strong leadership and project management skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience in oncology clinical trials, proven success managing tight timelines, and the ability to provide operational oversight for a team of 6–9 research staff, including supervisors and coordinators. They will oversee workload distribution, ensure program goals are met, and deliver training and mentorship to maintain high performance and consistency across the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic planning to meet program goals and study milestones, such as recruitment targets, data management, and sponsor requirements.
  • Collaboration with Principal Investigators, oversight committees, and senior leadership.
  • Monitoring team performance, morale, and workload to uphold quality and efficiency.
  • Identifying training needs and ensuring staff development.
  • Analyzing and reporting performance metrics with leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of supervisory experience or equivalent.
  • Certification in clinical trials (or obtained within one year of hire).
  • Strong knowledge of clinical research operations, protocol compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven leadership and training skills, with experience in a fast-paced research environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
