Healthcare Administrative, Support & Clerical Full job descriptionDepartment: Clinic SchedulingReports To: Manager, Registration & SchedulingFLSA: Non-ExemptJob Purpose:The Clinic Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patient appointments for designated areas according to protocol. Provides courteous, professional and efficient service to patients and providers. Responsible for accurately completing registration process for all patients including collection of copayments and patient demographic information.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Schedules patient appointments, consultations, diagnostics, and procedures in accordance with physician protocolsReviews all incoming and outgoing referrals for our assigned physiciansCommunicates scheduling and patient changes with appropriate clinic staff efficientlyResponds to patient inquiries regarding appointments and provides appointment remindersAccept and submit insurance claims and payment, as well obtaining HMO referral for patients to be seen from their primary care providerCollect co-paymentsUpdates and maintains physician scheduling templatesResolves scheduling conflicts proactively to address patient and care team needsService: We align our actions and decision making with the organization's guiding platform keeping our patients at the center of all we do.Change Agent: We support and contribute to positive change in the organization.Communication and Interpersonal Relations: We communicate honestly and with compassion to build connections with our patients and each other.Effectiveness: We take ownership of work, doing the right thing for our customer and doing it well.Organizational Culture:All OrthoIllinois employees focus on service by putting the mission, vision, and value statements into practice and using the guiding principles of Compassion, Respect, Trust, Integrity, Innovation, Education Fiscal Responsibility, Practice Independence, Accountability, and Empowerment to direct their interactions and decision making. Consistent work hours outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends.Physical/Mental Demands:Sit for extended periods of timeLifting, carrying and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds in a manner consistent with most office environmentsFinger dexterity for typing on a keyboard and using a mouse for extended periods of time.Vision (e.g., depth perception, color vision, strong vision up close); hearing (e.g., high pitch sounds, soft or distant sounds)#J-18808-Ljbffr
