Summary:The Clinical Supervisor provides guidance and supervision to the employees in the development of overall service plans. The Clinical Supervisor works closely with the program to ensure individuals receive quality programming and achieve their highest potential.The Clinical Supervisor reports directly to the Program Director or designee.This position is part of our Youth Mental Health (MH) Services Adolescent Residential Treatment Facility (RTF).Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, flexible.
Wage Information:Starting salary: $75,000 per year.
Job Description:- Provides leadership, clinical guidance, and supervision to the employees.
- Assists clinicians in developing case conceptualization.
- Assists clinicians in developing & revising treatment plans.
- Serves as a resource to the program and educates for continuous improvement on clinical issues.
- Maintains communication standards between Clinical Team & Program Teams/Groups.
- Orients employees to the purpose & benefit of clinical supervision.
- Provides and facilitates emergency and mental health assessments for individuals.
- Functions as a qualified mental health professional as needed.
- Assesses appropriateness of treatment and/or service plans to the needs of the individuals in the program.
- Completes required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Conducts training sessions.
- Assists in development and review of clinical aspects of performance for the performance management plans.
- Monitors the clinical admission and discharge activities for the program as applicable.
- Authorizes, supervises, and maintains intervention/care management services.
- Willing to learn and model the five principles of trauma informed care: safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment.
- Commitment to promote cultural, racial, language, and gender access, as well as diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Knowledge of mental illness diagnoses, symptomology, and treatment modalities.
- Knowledge of health conditions and medications.
- Knowledge of community resources and methods of accessing them.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, and theories of social work.
- Knowledge of counseling, individual assessment, and case management.
- Ability and skills to complete psychosocial assessment.
- Ability to present a confident, professional image to the individuals and families served in the program, coworkers, and community.
- Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement a course of action.
- Ability to structure and organize work to promote efficiency and to hold staff and self accountable to standards of performance and ensure compliance.
- Ability to see potential in and understand the use of administrative and clinical information technology and decision-support tools in process and performance improvement.
- Ability to understand processes and regulations, utilize approved policies and procedures, and utilize organization structure.
- Rotates supervisory coverage for after-hours, weekends, and holidays with the Program Director and Assistant Program Director (Adolescent RTF).
Qualifications:This position requires one of the following combinations of education and experience:Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master's level licensure (LCSW, LSW, LPC) with at least one year of experience in the behavioral health delivery system and one year of experience as a supervisor. Additional requirements include:
- Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings, and/or transport individuals to appointments.
