Description The Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS), a national leader in the development of effective housing and service initiatives, invites applications for the Clinical Supervisor position on the Manhattan Outreach Consortium's CUCS Street Outreach team. CUCS is the lead support agency in the Manhattan Outreach Consortium (MOC). MOC is a coalition of three neighborhood-based organizations working together with homeless people living on Manhattan streets. MOC and the CUCS team provide more comprehensive services to people staying on the street. The Clinical Supervisor is an integral member of the service team, providing weekly supervision to staff, developing relationships with stakeholders, participating in overall program management, tracking progress towards targets, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team. This position has significant decision making, supervisory, administrative, program management and service delivery responsibilities including but not limited to site management, program development, inter-team coordination and contract/policy compliance. The ideal candidate will be creative clinically and administratively, have strong organization skills, and demonstrated leadership abilities. This person will be expected to participate in and contribute to a program culture that is person-centered, outcome-oriented and dedicated to continuous quality improvement. The Clinical Supervisor oversees a team of four workers who do street outreach and case management, with the goal of permanently housing street homeless people. The team works with a diverse range of clients including substance users, people with mental illnesses, and people involved with the criminal justice system. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for utilizing a harm reduction, housing-first approach emphasizing meeting clients where they are at without judgment or coercion. Our services have a broad scope; expect to be providing them on the street, in safe havens, in permanent housing, in hospitals and inpatient psychiatric units, etc. There is significant client contact, especially in relation to crisis intervention. **There are 4 overnight shifts per year required with this position.** ** There is no On Call, Assistance with Self-Administration of Medication, or Money Management services associated with this position** Requirements
- The position requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy, especially in regards to Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Supervisory experience in the field of housing or homeless services
- Strong crisis intervention skills
- Ability to interface effectively and efficiently with colleagues to ensure quality services and program operations.
- Commitment to utilization of a housing first and person-centered approach in working with clients
- Experience with DHS CARES preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
