Job Location : all cities,IA, USA
Schedule: Full time; 40 hours/week Monday- Thursday 7am-6pm. Subject to change based on the need to float to other clinics.
Position Summary:
1. Obtains medical and/or social history and all vital signs and measurements as directed and document them appropriately.
2. Assists the providers with examination of patients.
3. Obtains and prepares specimen for processing as directed.
4. Administers treatments, immunizations and medications correctly as directed.
5. Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in examination rooms.
6. Maintains equipment and supplies including those in the emergency kit: cleans and sterilizes any and all instruments.
7. Maintains records and reports all data pertinent to patient care.
8. Participates in internal CHC/SEIA meetings and in-service training sessions as scheduled.
9. Participates in professional continuing education, including current CPR certification.
10. As assigned, receives patient calls for appointments and schedules patient as appropriate.
11. Assists coworkers in patient care or other tasks in order to maintain an even flow of patients and paperwork.
12. Performs lab tests as assigned and is responsible for running controls and record keeping.
Position Requirements:
Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant or LPN training program. Must be certified by a national association (e.g. AAMA, NHA, NCCT) as a Certified Medical Assistant or by the State of Iowa as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
