Job Description :
The Clinical Systems Analyst (Medical Imaging) is the Systems Administrator/PACS Administrator for all Medical Imaging-based systems (McKesson PACS, Vital Imaging, PowerScribe, Peervue).This position also assists with Cerner Radnet.The Analyst will also be the Systems Administrator for the Cardiology Service Line (Cardiology PACS) with a reporting component to the Cardiology Service Line Administrator. The Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining the working integrity of the department's computer hardware, software, security, network connectivity and master files.Under the direction of the Senior Director, Medical Imaging the Analyst for will lead the coordination, design, integration and implementation of technology to support professional imaging practices. The Analyst will lead and implement special projects and strategic initiatives that optimize the use of technology to support imaging while achieving hospital organizational goals. Additionally the Analyst develops and designs data collection and retrieval methods for clinical, technical and managerial purposes. The Analyst is involved in the design, testing, training and maintenance of clinical imaging systems in a fully integrated computerized order entry system for Image Acquisition, Image Delivery, Image integration, Image presentation, Image reporting and Image retention. This position will work with Biomed and the Information Technologies departments in the management of the IT network as it relates to the above systems, associated hardware including servers and general support of peripheral devices(PC's, minor PC repair,Monitors, Dicom tagging, HL7 review during interfacing).QualificationsEducation/Experience:•Associates degree in Computer Science/Information Technology field or ARRT Radiologic Technologist•Minimum of 2 years' experience working with Information Technology.Experience should include operations of networks (LANS, SANS, Novell), servers, PCs, Windows operating systems, interfacing, and Microsoft Office Suite.•Experience with Medical Imaging computer information systems including PACS, Voice Recognition, and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) preferred. Skills/Abilities:•The ability to utilize computer applications (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, and data base management) is required.•Ability to learn new clinical computer applications readily and evaluate functionality/usefulness for the end-user.•Basic knowledge of computer programming and analytical skills to optimize the use of electronic health and imaging record.•Other required skills include strong interpersonal and written communication, problem solving, and the ability to organize multiple projects simultaneously.•Effectively communicate with staff, department directors, physicians and occasionally students.•Provide excellent customer service to end users.•Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and implement productive IT system changes associated with the delivery of services. Licenses/Certificates/Registrations:•Preferred certification in any of the following areas:•Certified Imaging & Informatics Professional (CIIP)•Certified PACS System Analyst (CPSA)•Certified PACS Associate (CPAS)•Certified Netware Engineer (CNE)•Certified Professional Supply Management (CPSM) Salary RangeThe expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $67,683.20 to $101,524.80 annually.
