Please note, this link is only accessible for MSK employees.Job Description Clinical Trials Nurse – Leukemia (New York City) Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Join our Leukemia Team as a Clinical Trials Nurse at MSK and be part of groundbreaking research in leukemia care. Role Overview:
- Work within Nurse-Physician based Ambulatory Care Practice Models
- Facilitate the accrual of appropriate patients to clinical trials.
- Coordinate patient care activities and participate in the conduct of studies for patients enrolled in clinical trials for Leukemia.
- Educate those patients and their families regarding clinical trials in general and the specifics of the proposed clinical trial.
- Provide as an integral member of the clinical research team to research study participants' direct nursing care, patient and study assessments, education, and patient/ family support.
- Collaborate with the principal investigator to review new protocols from a nursing perspective and participate in a multidisciplinary discussion for approval.
- Implement the standards for research protocols in compliance with regulatory, institutional, and external agencies.
- Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care to patients throughout various stages of treatment on protocol and follow-up.
- Collaborate closely with members of the clinical research team across the MSK enterprise to manage protocol patients and coordinate care.
Key Qualifications:
- New York State RN license and BSN
- Three years of clinical nursing experience
- 1.5 – 2 years of oncology experience preferred
- Clinical research nursing experience preferred
- Proficiency with clinical and office software (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
- BCLS
