- Providing therapy (individual/ group/family), and crisis intervention/case management, as part of system of family preservation and support service to those children, adolescents, and adults who may be at risk to themselves or others, or who may be at risk of hospitalization or other restrictive placement due to mental illness and/or severe behavioral problems in the respective school system and community to which assigned.
- Implements and leads group counseling sessions to address issues such as substance abuse, violence, sexual and physical abuse, anger management, and emotional and behavioral difficulties.
- Crisis intervention/case management services include client identification, assessment, planning, implementing and monitoring service plans, and advocacy and resource development.
- Provides consultative and referral services to other agencies in the community which provide counseling, treatment, and support programs.
- This position provides services through the Gloucester County Public School System. The employee works for Middle Peninsula Northern Neck Behavioral Health.
SIGN ON BONUS$1,500-CLINICAL- I (QMHP)$5,000-CLINICAL-II (LMHP-E)$7,000-CLINICAL-III (Licensed)RequirementsMaster's Degree in Human Services, Social Service, Psychology, or related field, and 1 or 2 years experience in emergency/crisis services, family counseling, family preservation, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Licensed or License eligible required.Must posses a valid Virginia Driver's License and acceptable driving record. Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results within 30 days of employment and annually as required by licensing authority.
