Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. 40 hours/ week.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:The Aide provides support to the Clothing Room Coordinator, and reports to the Director of Emergency Services. Responsible for receiving, receipting, and delivery of clothing and hygiene items from the donors to those in need. Maintains proper inventory of donated goods. Provides a warm and loving Christ-centered environment for guests and volunteers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:•With friendly and professional attitude, greets donors and receives donations•Accepts donations and completes required record keeping, including receipting•Inspects all deliveries upon arrival for quality•Displays inventory and ensures inventory rotation through the season•Ensures orderliness and cleanliness of clothing room
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrates experience and ability to interact sensitively and respectfully with others
- Serve as a positive role model to residents
- Able and willing to honor the leadership, chain of command, standards and ministry objectives of ODM
- Ability to work proactively on a team in a change environment
- Stays current on Open Door Mission services for referrals as needed
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL FACTORS:
- Requires working with a diverse population - continuously
- Environment may be odorous due to lack of personal hygiene and intoxication of guests - frequently
- Requires a sustained level of high energy, stamina, and the ability to move about all of the facilities on a regular and ongoing basis - frequently
- May be exposed to unsanitary conditions

- Able to climb stairs numerous times per shift
