Job Description :

Title: Cloud Solution Architect Duration: 6+ months Location: Hybrid in White Plains, NY. Position Description: Our client, a leading utility organization, is seeking a Senior Architect to join their Architecture team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Lead Solution Engineer, technology domain architects, project teams, and business stakeholders to provide technical guidance while adhering to the client's Enterprise Architecture principles. This role involves collaboration with implementation partners to design and develop deployment architectures, submitting them for Architecture Review Committee approval, and ensuring alignment with IT governance. Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Lead Solution Engineer, domain architects, and project teams to provide technical guidance.
  • Develop and design deployment architectures in collaboration with implementation partners.
  • Submit architectural designs for Architecture Review Committee approval.
  • Review and approve technical change requests and deployment artifacts in accordance with IT governance.
  • Resolve technical issues and ensure adherence to the client's architecture principles.
Example of Projects to Support: Data Center Cloud Migration:
  • Lead the migration of VMware-based infrastructure to VMware Hybrid Cloud (VMC on AWS) to enhance scalability, resiliency, and digitization transformation.
  • Support a lift and shift migration strategy to minimize impact on business processes and applications.
Next Generation Identity Governance & Administration (IGA):
  • Deploy Saviynt's next-generation platform in a secure SaaS environment.
  • Enhance Identity Lifecycle Management (Joiner, Mover, Leaver) processes.
  • Integrate platforms such as Azure, AWS, ServiceNow, and CyberArk to enhance entitlement review and visibility across the application stack.
Common App LEM (.Net Migration):
  • Migrate legacy .Net framework applications to .Net Core and refresh user interfaces to support multiple form factors.
  • Integrate applications with Azure DevOps processes and migrate them to Azure WebApp.
HR Case Management:
  • Support the implementation of ServiceNow HR Service Delivery module for an employee portal, including case management, onboarding, leave management, and analytics.
Key Deliverables:
  • IT Governance Documentation: Develop IT governance deliverables, including documentation for technical reviews and approvals.
  • Technical Architecture: Define and document logical technical designs for proposed and deployed architectures.
  • Solution Blueprinting: Develop engineering documentation that includes aspects like access control, data architecture, infrastructure, and networking.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Produce documentation, including technical strategy reports, technical analysis reports, and best practice recommendations.
  • IT Project Management Support: Provide technical analysis, guidance, and documentation throughout project lifecycles.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
  • 10+ years of experience in technology architecture, solution design, and technical guidance.
  • Strong background in supporting cloud migration projects, particularly in VMware and AWS environments.
  • Experience with identity governance and administration (IGA) platforms, especially Saviynt.
  • Experience with modernizing legacy systems, particularly migrating .Net framework applications to .Net Core.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow HR Service Delivery and portal implementations.
  • Utility sector experience is important, ideally with experience in projects involving generation, transmission, or distribution operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of IT governance and architecture review processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams, including implementation partners and business stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of Azure, AWS, DevOps processes, and cloud-based application architectures.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Additional Requirements:
  • Proven experience working on large-scale transformation projects, preferably in the Utilities sector.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
