Purpose: The Territory Sales Manager initiates calculated, proactive and innovative sales strategies that build demand for and position Clow Valve as the number one choice in the water works industry.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Showcase Products: Lead at least 5 live demos, presentations or CEU classes per month.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain and establish relationships through 6-12 face-to-face meetings or on-site distributor visits per month.
  • Expand Scope: Grow territory base by 1.5% per year.
  • Core Functions:

  • Active Sales (65%): Act as the face of Clow Valve by establishing links and crafting opportunities that increase distributor knowledge of Clow products. Attend tradeshows and conferences. Champion distributor relations through visits, demos, and training.
  • Planning & Strategy (20%): Collect, analyze, and evaluate market intelligence. Communicate and close with distributors. Pro-actively develop knowledge of industry standards and recommend new products.
  • Inner-company Communications (8%): Coordinate customer requests with Clow team members. Ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Personal Development (7%): Develop personal ability to improve in accordance with goals resolved with supervisor.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Effective large group public speaking skills.
    • Ability to lift heavy objects above head with minimal assistance.
    • Knowledge of mobile devices and basic assembly tools.

    Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales or Marketing and five years of sales experience preferred, or ten years of face-to-face sales in the industry is required.
