Description:This position is part of Piedmont Heart's Early Professional Enrichment Program. Piedmont Hearts Early Professional Enrichment Program (EPEP) puts motivated post-baccalaureate students, who are bound for either medical school or physician assistant school, into various support staff roles within Piedmont Healthcare.JOB PURPOSE:Responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Bachelor's DegreeMINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:N/AMINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:NoneADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:BLS required. Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization required.
