CNA Adult Medical Specialty - OSF Healthcare : Job Details

Overview Welcome to the Adult Medical Specialty Unit (AMSU)! Our department is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Forest Park building and consists of two independently functioning units working together as one team. We care for adult med-surg patients with diverse diagnoses, providing a dynamic and fast-paced environment that offers a wide range of clinical experiences. Sign On Bonus Eligible! $2000 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment. Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY: The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant * CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or GED Experience * Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment * Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
