The primary mission of the Home is to enhance the retirement life of Virginia Masons and their families by providing a quality Life Plan CommunityAbout the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):The Certified Nursing Assistant protects, sustains, and nurtures Residents of the Masonic Home of Virginia by assisting with person-centered activities of daily living in a respectful, kind, and caring manner. Other duties as assigned. Assists co-workers as needed with Resident care.* Engages Residents in individualized programs and activities of their preference.* As necessary, greets Residents and visitors; answers the telephone and entry gate intercom in a respectful caring and helpful manner. Communicates all messages accurately and promptly to Residents and staff.Qualifications of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):* Licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the Virginia Department of Health Professions; CPR certified* Graduation from an accredited Nursing Assistant Program* Previous experience in healthcare with a general knowledge of assisted daily living needs preferably in a long term care or continuing care retirement community setting serving the elderly
