Staff here say: * We love it here! * The staff to resident ratio is great! * I am appreciated! * I always get a warm greeting from staff and the Leadership team! * Our leadership team pitches in and helps us on the floor! * We have staff meetings to keep us updated. * We have a clean facility! * The perks are great! * Bonuses for attendance * Rewarded when you step up * Staff appreciation week * CNA appreciation week * Free meals on paydays Why did you choose to become a CNA? * To touch people's lives * To care for people * To build relationships * To add to your patient's lives * To add to your life Position Responsibilities: * Assure residents are given assistance with personal care, including, but not limited to bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, assisting with eating and hydration, proper feeding techniques, skin care, lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting as outlined in the residents' plan of care. * Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed. * Monitor residents through frequent rounds to ensure that their personal care needs are being met. * Assume personal responsibility for handling resident's personal property per facility policy. * Maintain resident rooms in an orderly and sanitary manner, ensuring that infection control policies and procedures are followed. * Answer resident calls promptly. * Identify resident problems and concerns and report them to the Charge Nurse. * Accurately document the care and treatment provided to the resident and the resident's response to care provided. * Report changes in resident conditions to the Charge Nurse. Qualifications: * High school graduate or equivalent. * Successfully completion of an Indiana's Certified Nursing Assistant program and license. * Demonstrate skills and ability in working with and understanding the needs of the residents. * Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, staff members, volunteers, and outside agencies. * Handle confidential information with professional discretion in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations. * Desire to work with geriatric population. * Long-term care experience preferred. * Willingness to work in a team atmosphere. * A BIG heart and a BIGGER smile.
